Julia Johnson is a writer and content creator living in New York City. By day, she’s a communications professional, and by night, she’s working on what she hopes will be her debut young adult novel, focused on the journey of a young Chinese American adoptee navigating our chaotic world (and potentially finding love!)—disclaimer: Julia is also a Chinese American adoptee, and like all stories, this one has just been waiting to be unleashed.

Ever since Julia was 10 years old, she’s known that she’s wanted to be an author. She previously worked as an editorial assistant at Katherine Tegen Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, working on kids books by incredible authors and illustrators. Julia graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University with a B.A. in Creative Writing and English.

When she’s not writing or trying to get through her extremely long TBR pile, she’s spending time with her calico cat Ziggy, traveling the world with her partner, or rewatching Friends, How I Met Your Mother . . . or binging the next season of Love Island.
